So who am I?

My name is Salathiel Jones. I'm the owner of Dogwood City Books. I'm also a lifelong reader and writer. 

As a bookseller, I want to curate stories that'll have you telling a friend, "You've got to read this!" There's nothing quite like finding a hidden gem that keeps your mind shook for weeks after the story ends.

As a writer, I know firsthand the importance of escapism and story. Stories help us develop our own identity within a changing world. They are tools for sharing faith, preserving history, communicating ideology, and making sense of the chaos outside ourselves, even if that world is filled with magical creatures, giant elves, or diabolical spirits wearing human faces. 

With that in mind, I hope Dogwood City Books becomes a space where we, as readers, discover books that ask what if... in ways that challenge, inspire, or simply give a well-needed escape.
